Our regular indoor meetings are held at at the Mick Jagger Centre, Dartford Grammar School for Boys, Shepherds Lane, Dartford, Kent DA1 2JZ.
We usually begin with a chat about wildlife seen in our area in the last month or so and then settle to enjoy a presentation from the guest speaker. These talks are usually illustrated by digital images or slides and reflect some aspect of wildlife in the UK or overseas. There is a social refreshment break with tea, coffee and biscuits and the evening closes with questions for the speaker and the raffle draw. Our meeting starts at 7.30pm and ends by 10pm.
We are fortunate to have several specialists attending our meetings who are happy to help you understand more about Kentish wildlife and to answer questions.
There is a suggested donation of £2.50 which helps to pay for room hire and meeting expenses.
Car Parking? Plenty… including the large playground under the arch.
Accessibility? Easy… we meet in a ground floor room within the modern Mick Jagger Centre with toilets just along the corridor.
Arriving early? There is plenty of seating and large screen entertainment in the manned reception area.
Throughout the summer there is a programme of outdoor meetings. These are designed to be very local to our area and last for just two hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning, once a month.
